The Nomadic Ambassador represents the community values of GOT A COUCH? while traveling — offering temporary support to the communities they meet, then handing responsibility back to local members.

Is the program paid?
No. The ambassador program is built on a volunteer commitment. The badge is neither an employment contract, nor a payment, nor an employee status.
Does meeting every criterion guarantee acceptance?
No. Meeting the objective criteria makes your application eligible for human review, but the final decision — acceptance, interview, or rejection — is always made by the GOT A COUCH? team.
Can I apply directly as a Country Ambassador?
This role generally requires successful prior experience as a City Ambassador, for a duration set in the program's criteria. An exceptional application is possible, but only the GOT A COUCH? team can accept it, with a documented reason.
Can I be an ambassador for more than one city?
Every application is reviewed separately based on the criteria and the candidate's real activity. Holding several mandates at once is always a case-by-case human decision, never automatic.
What does a Nomadic Ambassador do?
They represent GOT A COUCH? while traveling and offer temporary support to the communities they meet. They have no authority over territorial ambassadors and never take lasting control of a city.
How long does a mandate last?
A mandate's duration is set in the program's configuration and can vary by role; you're told what it is before accepting.
Why is there a probationary period?
It confirms, before a final nomination, real activity, adherence to the code of conduct, and good collaboration with the community.
Does the badge grant access to administration?
No. An ambassador never automatically gains administration rights, moderation powers, or access to members' private data.
What happens if my mandate is suspended?
The public badge disappears immediately. A suspension follows a human review and can be lifted if the situation warrants it.
Can I apply again if I'm not eligible yet?
Yes. You can request a new check as soon as your situation changes — tenure, reviews, events, or other criteria.
How do I report an ambassador's behavior?
From their profile or the ambassador directory. Every report is reviewed by a human moderator, and the ambassador concerned has the right to respond before any decision is made.
